On the Razor’s Edge / The Razor’s Edge
Duration: 70’
This is the first Greek documentary dedicated to the art of Kung Fu, featuring master Sifu Kyriakos Eleftheriou, founder of TAO CLUB Chalandri, the Attic Martial Arts Association, and co-founder (1987) of what later became the Hellenic Kung Fu Federation.
Through his personal narration, the film portrays a life devoted not only to physical discipline, but to the dissemination of Kung Fu as a philosophy of life, inner balance and spiritual discipline.
Director’s Statement
Is an athlete the same as a dancer? Usually not. But sometimes the boundaries blur. Movement ceases to appear structured, technical or calculated. Effort disappears, the goal falls silent, and the athlete transforms—into a dancer.
Yet dance is a stance, not a destination. Because sometimes the athlete can go even further. Become an initiate.
What does the ancient Greek phrase “a healthy mind in a healthy body” truly conceal? Can repetitive physical movement lead to the inner bridges connecting body and mind? And what is the key that unlocks them?

Take a Trip
Duration: 30’
Take a Trip does not follow the rules of conventional storytelling. It belongs to essay cinema, where image does not narrate but reflects, and sound does not accompany but creates a space of experience.
Christos N. Karakasis’ camera explores ideas rather than events. This is not simply a film to be watched—it is a film to be experienced.
A key element is the contribution of Vasiliki Kappa, whose texts and narration function as an inner whisper, engaging in dialogue with image and silence.
The film has participated in over 120 international festivals across 35 countries, receiving more than 80 awards, while its 100-week continuous theatrical run in Athens stands as one of its most significant distinctions.
