«Πολλοί γαρ οι κλητοί ολίγοι δε οι εκλεκτοί». Οι ποιητές «κοινωνούν» με ευγένεια με το κάθε τι και με τον κάθε έναν. Γι’ αυτό, η Ποίηση είναι η μόνη Δημοκρατία. Οι ποιητές επίσης οραματίζονται και υπηρετούν μια καλύτερη κοινωνία. Γι’ αυτό και είναι – αναπόφευκτα – ανθρωπιστές.Αυτά τα γνωρίσματα είναι έντονα και στην ποίηση του Ηλία Μπούσιου. Όμως, αν ξεχωρίζει τούτος ο ποιητής, είναι γιατί αποτυπώνεται στην ποίησή του και η ίδια η λειτουργία του «κοινωνείν». Κι αυτό είναι κάτι που δεν έχουμε συναντήσει ως τώρα στη σύγχρονη ποίηση.
